I hope your Christmas was “merry and bright.” I hope you were warmed by the spirit of the Christmas season. I hope you had quality time with family. Most of all, I hope you reflected on the meaning of the season and how the birth of Christ impacts your life.
In this post, leading into the new year, the topic is “dreaming.” These quotes are intended to rekindle your desire to dream again with the hope that YOU will pursue those dreams in days ahead.
Becoming the person one is capable of becoming is not only satisfying, it is a responsibility. (For a Biblical account of “responsibility”, see: Matthew 25:14-30.) I believe the process of self improvement begins with dreaming. Dreams lead to action. Action produces results, which inspires more action and more results. But, it all begins with having a vision of where one would like to go in life.
Unfortunately, too many people have stopped dreaming of a better tomorrow for themselves, their family, their community, their country, and the world. Settling for mediocrity has become commonplace. Is it because we are trapped in the rat race? Is it because we have become discouraged by personal failures or negative people? Is it because we have it too good? I don’t know the answer. But, what I do know is that most people have suppressed their dreams and consequently are missing out on the excitement and satisfaction that comes from pursuing a vision and achieving big goals.
